Removing Merkuro leads to a lot of seeminlgy unrelated package removals

Removing Merkuro leads to the removal of a lot of seeminlgy unrelated packages (e.g. btrfs-progs, elisa, okular, exfatprogs, kate, mpvqt, ...).

1. Installed AerynOS-2026.05.2-GNOME-live-x86_64.iso KDE with plasma-login-manager
2. Ran sudo moss sync --update twice (1x repo structure update, 1x package updates) and rebooted
3. Ran sudo moss remove merkuro, confirming the package removal and rebooted

Result:
Merkuro and all the listed packages were removed (e.g. elisa, okular, kate, btrfs-progs, ...).

I assume this has to be a bug because some of those are system packages and seemingly unrelated applications.

When running sudo moss install merkuro again it did not pull in all the previously removed packages as dependencies. The listed dependencies looked like they actually make sense for Merkuro.

Running sudo moss remove merkuro again also only removed the packages that looked like they are actual dependencies of Merkuro.

You are hitting one of the "AerynOS is Alpha" issues. Our pkgsets are built in a way that is not very flexible, so when you attempt to remove something that belongs to an installed pkgset, moss will attempt to remove the entire pkgset in return.

This is obviously a misfeature, and it will get fixed when it's time to fix those sorts of issues. Right now, and I'm sorry to have to put it like this, we frankly have much more important issues to fix.
