Handle installation of QE/pseudo gracefully

In the case of slow internet, the installation of QE and pseudo may be slow, thus step 3 is blocked, and the user needs to click the information icon and install them manually, there are two issues:

• this is not obvious to the user; we need to improve it
• we need to handle the failed installation more gracefully and print out the error message if the installation fails without a solution.
