[OPEN Bounty] - Apply our Recommender to a new domain/dataset

At AO Labs, we’re building AI systems that can learn after training. Post-training learning is a new frontier in AI, quite underexplored, and it’s an open question where continuous learning excels.

Recommender systems is a clear win– wouldn’t it be cool if a recommender could learn from your behavior in real-time, instead of the current status quo (collaborative filtering, which compares your usage to others for recommendations). We built a Recommender currently applied to YouTube, giving users the power to train their own AI agents which can learn to recommend specific videos for specific moods, which is accessible at recommender.aolabs.ai.

We are now looking to expand our recommender to new domains. For example, music or e-commerce recommendations. What can you do with a Recommender you can continuously (re)train, a Recommender that can learn your context?

It adds a movie-domain recommender demo with a local movie dataset, binary feature encoding for genre/runtime/recency/rating/mood, a matching AO architecture, Streamlit UI, README instructions, and unit tests.

I read "[OPEN Bounty] - Apply our Recommender to a new domain/dataset" and my first move is reproducing the reported issue first, then applying a focused fix with clear validation.
ETA: first reviewable PR in about 8h.
I reduce back-and-forth by sharing checkpoints and validation evidence early.

I am going to submit a distinct recipe/meal-planning domain for the Recommender bounty, separate from the existing movie and music PRs. Plan:

• Add a small local recipe catalog dataset with cuisine, meal slot, cook time, difficulty, dietary tags, and context labels.
• Encode recipe + user meal context into deterministic binary inputs for an AO Agent.
• Add a Streamlit recipe recommender demo with live AO-agent support and a local fallback path for reviewers without AO packages installed.
• Add unit tests for encoding, catalog filtering, and fallback behavior, then open a PR with validation output.

Transparency: AI-assisted with Codex; I will review the diff and run tests before submitting.
