2 Backends, each with unique watch data #791

Hi, I have two Jellyfin servers, in two locations, each with the same 4 users. One server has watch status for 2 users, another for the other 2 users. If I import both backends, I get errors with conflicts since I have never force-overwritten one of the servers. Is there a way to synchronize these without losing the data for 2 of the users? Thanks. |

Unfortunately this is not directly supported by the system currently however you could do it manually as you only have few users and backends First stage dont use sub users atm. use the main user for user1 set the backends as you need force import from the good backend and than force export to the empty backend. once user is completed reset the system via more > system reset go back to backends edit them and select user2 profiles, and repeat the operation as you see fit. once that is done. again reset the system and use proper setup set main user for admin and create sub users etc. |

To make sure I understand this last step, by proper you simply mean choose one server to be the 'main' and overwrite the secondary for all users? I.E. I'll still have a "sub-user" in Watchstate for every user in Jellyfin? |

go back to backends edit them and select user2 profiles, and repeat the operation as you see fit.
