Action "Toggle to-do lists" and "Toggle line to bulleted or numbered lists" don't move caret after bullet / checkbox

I'm using the task / checkbox shortcuts a lot, in particular:

Ctrl + M: Toggle to-do lists (old name: "Toggle between checkmarks" in the README, btw should probably be updated)

to create a new task on a new line. But I noticed that the caret stays at the start of the line instead of jumping after the checkbox

So I need to press End each time to actually write the task content.

The same thing happens with:

Ctrl + Shift + M: Toggle line to bulleted or numbered lists (old name in README: "Toggle between ordered and unordered lists")

It would be nice if the caret jumped automatically after the list marker so that user can fill the line content immediately.

It used to correctly place the caret on the original place when the command/hotkey is executed, until some obsidian update broke this behavior last year. It now also sometimes toggles wrong list markers, for example when cycling through numbered/bullet/non list some items are toggled and some are not, and then the whole list becomes broken... I switched to obsidian's builtin list toggling hotkeys due to those bugs but they aren't as handy as the hotkeys++ ones... Really hope these can be fixed.

About the weird numbered/bullet cycling, I've made a fork that addresses it - https://github.com/Zetaniis/hotkeysplus-obsidian. It should properly preserve the toggling cycle for the lines.
You can quickly load it up with https://github.com/TfTHacker/obsidian42-brat.

Just tested your fork and it seems to work well on cycling different lists, and when the cursor is at the end of a line on toggling, it will stay at the end after toggling. However, if the cursor isn't at the end (i.e., in the middle, or at the beginning), after toggling it will be moved to the very beginning of the line (even before the bullet marker and indentation, if any). Would it be possible to fix this as well? I'd really appreciate it!

This plugin code works by replacing the whole lines with new ones and this seems to make the cursor lose its "original" position. This method doesn't use the provided obsidian commands, that's why the behaviour differs. I feel like fixing this would require big changes to this codebase which isn’t a priority for me (vim motions make this a non-issue to me). Sorry.

Btw, there is a Cycle bullet/checkbox command in basic Obsidian that you can use for the TODO lists that behaves similarly to this plugin, but preserves the cursor location.
