So, we should spend some amount of time this release trying to get us into the (Unreal's) FAB Marketplace. There are a few things though:
- We need to remain shipping with the source and it must remain modifiable by the user at the default install. If we need to make an installer for it, it seems worth it --- but I'd rather not.
- Ideally, we don't need a special install flow (basically, it'd be great if we could reuse our init command and script as is --- or at least modify it to work with both cases).
- We'd need to setup this stuff under a beamable account so there's some burocracy involved here (likely to require tax info or similar things --- even if we're shipping it as a free plugin).
Since documentation on this on Epic's side is pretty light (or tucked away in some hidden corner), assume this will take some research.
