Which license should we use?

MIT and GPL are the big ones.

Major distinction is that for MIT, anyone can use our code for private for-profit, closed source.

GPL requires anyone that uses our code to open source it.

I vote GPL

I vote GPL

@Joshua-Yan I think we should also consider how we want to use this code in the future.
Is it possible that we could end up creating a company around this? If so, would we want to create a fork and close the source at some point?

In terms of open source licenses, I am personally a fan of the MIT license, which would be compatible with a decision to close the source at some point.

oh, does GPL mean we can't use it for private stuff as well? i was under the impression this only applied to anyone else lol
