How to get a section tree even with empty sections?

To build a documentation by using the sections for the headings, its useful to get the empty sections as well.

The symbol table iterators are only for records, which might be part of a section. But they lack of course the empty sections.

There is one unit test which iterates over records by section, see

I agree that iter_record_objects_by_section can only find sections which contain at least one record.

The section declaration is parsed here:

And this happens regardless of the number of records in that section.

So without testing it, I think the Section entries should be available in table.values().
Please have a look at this loop:

You could try to iterate over table.values() and check for Section instances.

Could iter_record_objects_by_section() be updated in the future to retrieve empty sections too?

We can keep this feature request open. But it is not a priority right now.
