Last commit for this project was 8 months back and no issues are also being replied to?

I really like this library and intend to use it if it is still actively maintained? Does any one have experience with using it long term, so you can shed some light into how well is it supported?

A year and a half since last commit now. Project does what it says on the tin, but it seems I can't update to react 17 since this is pinned to react 16.8.
