because it runs as an agent (or tool call) the browser is only visible for as long as the tool call is running. Do i need to set config somewhere?

this is the fundamental problem with running a browser inside a tool call. the process dies when the call ends.

the way around it is to decouple the browser from the tool call lifecycle. brow (https://github.com/detrin/brow) does this: brow session new starts a browser process that lives independently, you get back a session id, and subsequent calls just talk to it. the browser stays up until you explicitly kill it with brow session delete <id>.

named profiles (--profile myprofile) go further. cookies and state persist across sessions entirely, so you're not even re-authenticating between agent runs.
