After the data stream error message, using the retry function, the file appears. This is completely independent of the size of the imported media.

Humm... strange behavior. I could not replicate (neither snap or flatpak packages, large file on external drive or home folder).

What i could suspect from this error in the gstreamer internal decoding pipeline would be due to a failure of the hardware decoder. Is the file opened with hardware acceleration? Does this occur for opening media when opening a session?
