07 FEATURE: Tighten Copilot-assisted review workflows #49

Description

@bryan-shea

Summary

Improve how Annotative supports Copilot-assisted review, explanation, and remediation using the existing AI export and chat-related foundations.

Problem

Annotative already supports AI-oriented exports and Copilot-related workflows, but the path from captured annotation to useful AI follow-up can be tighter and more consistent.

Goal

Reduce friction between annotations and AI-assisted review actions without turning the public repo into a hosted AI product.

Scope

In scope:

  • review current Copilot-related commands and flows
  • improve prompt packaging for common review intents
  • refine command UX around explain, review, fix, and issue generation
  • improve labels and docs for AI workflows
  • add tests where practical

Out of scope:

  • model hosting
  • backend orchestration
  • paid AI credits
  • multi-model cloud routing

Dependencies / notes

This work should strengthen the current AI-assisted review wedge while staying local-first and extension-first.
