Would y'all be open to me adding clippy to the actions PR workflow?

Sounds reasonable to me yeah. I'd prefer to model it after wasm-tools/wasmtime which involves:

• Lints disabled by default, selectively re-allowed
• Dedicated CI job to lint the workspace
