Step 3. Describe the issue
First of all, hello to the developers. I have been working with your project for a few weeks now and have encountered several issues. It would be very helpful if there were an official installation video for Caelestia Shell, as the existing videos on the internet are unfortunately insufficient.
I am using a laptop and struggled significantly with the Nvidia drivers, a step that most online tutorials seem to skip. Since my device is new, Arch Linux defaulted to my integrated graphics, causing lag and performance issues. Despite having the drivers installed, my RTX 4060 was not being utilized. I eventually fixed this by switching from Hybrid mode to Dedicated GPU mode in the UEFI settings.
Once I finally got Caelestia Shell running, I faced a new set of problems:
Missing Assets: There were no wallpapers available.
File Manager: The file manager application was missing. After installing it manually, only the 'Downloads' folder existed in the Home directory; I had to manually reconfigure the rest of the user directories.
Settings: I couldn't find a settings application. I tried installing gnome-control-center, but it failed to launch via command line.
Theme & Audio: I tried switching to a light theme but received an error. Additionally, the audio is not working despite the drivers being installed.
Localization: There was no Turkish keyboard support by default. Even though I selected trq during the Arch Linux installation, Caelestia did not recognize it. I managed to fix this through manual configuration.
There are still many things that need to be addressed. It would be great if you could produce informative videos showing exactly what needs to be done. Specifically, a comprehensive video covering a clean Arch Linux install followed by the Caelestia Shell setup would be invaluable for the community.
I wish the development team the best of luck with the project.
