Current behaviour

Buttons with loading = true showing double spinners because React Native deprecated absoluteFillObject

Expected behaviour

1 spinner instead of two

How to reproduce?

Upgrade to RN 0.85

paper-provider crashes on react-native version > 0.83

I am getting this error in productional build, expo sdk 55, react native 0.83.4

@SergiOnGit I suspect this is possibly affected by expo/expo#44487 as pinning to expo 55.0.9 resolves the issue, but any version after this throws the error.

Update - The ticket has since been closed however, I'm still running into the same problem even after upgrading. Pinning to 55.0.9 is still my workaround until I find a solution. If I do find a solution, I'll report back.

Solution - After updating all expo dependencies to their current version, what ended up fixing it for my build was editing the babel.config.js to remove the react-native-paper/babel plugin despite contracting the docs. Hopefully that helps.
