Description

Epic for the first version of OS Dashboard is done (https://github.com/capactio/backlog/issues/30). Next thing to do is to spread the knowledge about a new way of interacting with Capact.

In Capact we have such options:

  • Tutorials - In this case, we will skip that. Instead, we will do a regular doc & blog post.

  • Blog post:
We want to use it to spread the knowledge about a new component that simplifies Capact usage. It should be done in a light (highlighting) form. Link to documentation about Capact Dashboard (created in Install Capact Dashboard as a part of Capact installation capact#599)

Consider describing the next steps regarding Capact Dashboard (e.g. add support for TypeInstance and Policy management). We need to be careful to not over commit.

  • Video recording: This form will be useful to showcase real usage of Capact Dashboard. In addition, we can follow up with a deep-dive session to present how it was implemented and how the GraphQL is utilized. We should use our video recording guidelines.

Example of deep-dive diagram (bit outdated):

  • Documentation: will be done in Install Capact Dashboard as a part of Capact installation capact#599

Acceptance Criteria

  • Blog post is created and promoted
  • Video recording is created and sent to UI folks
    • deep-dive about UI can be done in separate video, so the showcase can be later uploaded also to YT channel

Use cases

  • System Users—knows that we introduced a Capact Dashboard to simplify usage of Capact. Additionally, knows how to use it and what is supported.
