Thanks for the PR.

As the comment header of the file says: "⚠️ This list is temporarily not maintained anymore by DINUM."

The Awesome code.gouv.fr is not published anymore on code.gouv.fr. It is still used by the European Open Source Catalog but it won't be anymore in their next update.

There are internal changes at DINUM and hopefully Awesome code.gouv.fr will be maintained again, but don't hold your breath.

If/when Awesome code.gouv.fr comes back online, one question will be whether it should include only FLOSS projects for which a French public organization is ultimately responsible (even if it accepts contributions), or also FLOSS projects managed by external entities as "digital commons" if they receive a lot of contributions from the French public sector, such as OpenFisca.

Thanks for this update. I had noticed the warning, but thought I'd still try this little PR as, indeed Awesome code.gouv.fr is currently the only method at our disposal to get referenced in the European Open Source Catalog. I don't know when the next update will be, but unless it is within the next 2 months, we would love to get in there. Is there anything we could do to get this merged? 🙂

I understand. I'll send you a private email with ideas on how to get this done.

Hi @MattiSG,
Because @bzg discussed this with you, we're going to close this PR until we see a reboot of this project. :)

Well, for the record, the discussion didn't go far 😉
Good thing that the European Commission reached out to us directly to feature OpenFisca straight in the OSS catalogue, bypassing national portals due to its international relevance. It's a bit sad that the French portal does not see that.

Sad indeed - what happens is that there is no French portal on code.gouv.fr and json data used by the EU portal are unmaintained right now... I hope DINUM will find a solution to publish the French portal again and maintain the Awesome code.gouv.fr json data.
