I did few changes over your PR, and I tested locally to prove that's working with discovery=multicast:
open62541-1.4.6-linux-discovery-multicast.log
- Renamed the patch file to follow what is doing: It's a cut from the previous patch to only add mdnsd as external dependency.
- Simplified the test package to only validate the library and not run an entire example.
