It is good that the UI shows a lot of information. Can you add a scrollable wrapper around the column area so they can be displayed with more space for each column and a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom?

A display column can be changed (using button at the right end of a header)
Is your problem solved?
Change is saved when closing a window.
(but it is not saved, when Quit was chosen from the menu bar, and when Command-Q is pushed. This is a not yet solvable bug)
Hiding columns solved my problem because I didn't need that many of them. However if someone wanted to see a lot of columns, they'd have a hard time doing so.
