Summary

File-menu should have the option to add file shortcut to "desktop"/launcher.

Motivation

eg. Adding KeePass kdbx database file shortcut would streamline usage of KeePass with Cryptomator.

Opening shortcut would open the KeePass database through Cryptomator without needing to manually open the app, unlock the vault and finding file location.

Like Firefox for Android has an "Add to Home screen" -button. It adds a "shortcut" button to the home screen/launcher which opens the app on the right page.

Thanks for this feature request but it is a duplicate of #35

I do not think it is a direct duplicate.

Does adding shortcuts to launchers which pointing directly to Cryptomator need that "Document Provider" support (as same where manually open vault and open file)? (I am not an android developer, so I really do not know)

If I understand you correctly your are talking about something like accessing the vault content from other apps?

If so, then it is the "Document Provider". I attached the screenshot also to the linked issue maybe this helps a bit more to understand the feature.

Not the content of the app, but app itself.

Like Firefox for Android has an "Add to Home screen" -button. It adds a "shortcut" button to the home screen/launcher which opens the app on the right page.

Apologies for the poor explanation.
