Conflict with Thaumcraft 6 Beta 0 causes all TT fonts to become unreadable #24

I am using — or was using — TTFR-1.10.2-1.5.4, with great success, until a couple of days ago when I discovered a conflict with Thaumcraft alpha 16 and beta 0. Everything works fine, right up until you look at anything that is showing an essentia point count, even just glancing at a warded jar, and then all characters in everything throughout Minecraft turn into unreadable rectangular blobs. Once this happens it is irrevocable and can be cleared only by restarting the Minecraft client; then it's fine until you look at essentia again. Anything else, including reading the Thaumonomicon, is fine.
Azanor has looked at the problem and does not believe it is anything he is doing. He believes the fault is on TTFR's side. Can you perhaps investigate and see if you can find the cause of the problem? At 1920x1080, TTFR is almost indispensable in Minecraft. But Thaumcraft has always been one of my must-have mods...
