Publish in npm registry

Automatically tried to install with npm install node-vips (which didn't work, obviously)

npm message:

npm http GET https://registry.npmjs.org/node-vips
npm http 404 https://registry.npmjs.org/node-vips
npm ERR! 404 'node-vips' is not in the npm registry.
npm ERR! 404 You should bug the author to publish it

So I'm bugging...

I could spend some time to build an in-house binary, but that would not be a good long-term solution as I can't maintain a current public build, so it would be great to have a centralized upstream npm package...
