Provide adjustErrorName function

We should add a new functionality to adjust the error name for logging and metrics before it is used. This can be useful to ensure the error name is consistent in logging and metrics and if the error name needs to be adjusted, e.g. if the error label should be set depending on context information to avoid spammers triggering alerts.
