I am new to controls and I'm having a hard time getting this one to work. What kind of column do I need to create on the dataverse table for this to work? I used whole number because it is the only one that will allow me to select the time picker control but then it won't take the time, it just takes the minutes, no special characters or the am pm. Thank you for your time.

Hi @bakererica,

Thanks for trying out the control, I hope you will like it.

To configure the PCF correctly, you need to supply 2 backing fields (Whole.Number), 1 for the hours (Main field connected to the control) and 1 for the minutes.

Thank you for responding. I tried that and it will only fill out the hours. I'm missing a step somewhere I guess.

Are you sure that you output to 2 different fields ?

Yep, I tried 2 different and then tried to make it the same. I'll start fresh again tomorrow and see what I get. I appreciate you responding!

Hi @bakererica,

Looking at your configuration
1- The field called TimePicker would be the one where your hours are saved, If you want to have the hours on another field ex. Hours, just bind the control to this field.

2- You should not use the same field for HourStep and MinuteStep,
these are optional field and serve for example if you want to have a 15 min step (0, 15, 30, 45)
Actually, you should not put a field here but a manual value if you want to use it.
If you leave these blank, the step will be 1 by default.

I have tried that but when I add the component to the TimePicker field (in this case, I created a new test field and removed the component from the other field) it automatically sets the Hour field to the field I'm on.

That is how it works.
The field where you bind the control will hold the 'hour' value and the field bound on the Minute value field will hold the minute.
