How to write Author and Contributors chapter in README.md

My question is related to the README.md. The example file:

https://github.com/ecmwf/codex/blob/main/Repository%20Structure/example.md

contains the Author and Contributors chapters but they are both empty. It would be great if some examples were available for these chapters.

Additionally, I wonder if Author should be plural (like Contributors).
