Feature Request: Let us edit a canvas while it is hanging on a wall

How it is now, unsigned canvases/paintings can be edited while on an easel or in hand, but not when it is hung up on the wall. However, this would be very useful for making paintings that span over multiple canvases, since it would be much more easy to align them that way
