Was observing Apple Maps and Google Earth on macOS. Noticed they have their "last view state" always persist across relaunch of the app. MapView current resets to Default.
This can be very useful when studying/planning in an area across sessions, with some queries and layers set up temporarily. In contrast, the existing Presets is useful for mature states that don’t get updated frequently.
Worth considering this adjustment I feel. But it might have some complications across devices? Will be interesting to know!
On a related note, the Default Preset seems to resist updates on my end, I’m currently unsure if it has stuff to do with the fact that I’m using Obsidian Sync for data.json
