Something webpack? related has gone horribly wrong

I just upgraded to React 4.0.1, and am encountering an issue where compile errors get 'stuck' in some cache somewhere. I can comment out remove the lines referenced in the error, but the compile error remains. Sometimes renaming the file fixes it, but sometimes it doesn't.

It's extremely frustrating.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Might also be typescript-eslint related?

Also any idea how to fix it? I've tried nuking node_modules. The build errors persist when running start or build...
