What does the ELN SIG need to do?

  • golang-github-openprinting-ipp-usb and golang-github-cpuguy83-md2man have one golang---devel dependency a piece. Like with rust, we do not want any such source-only module -devel packages in RHEL or ELN.

It looks like Go packages will eventually switch to vendoring with go-vendor-tools, which is both a set of tools for maintainers as well as RPM macros used for building packages. Blockers for using this in RHEL are being tracked at https://gitlab.com/fedora/sigs/go/go-vendor-tools/-/issues/3.
