Dapper Labs is the company behind NBA Top Shot, the officially licensed NBA digital collectibles platform. Founded in 2018, Dapper Labs built the Flow blockchain and has facilitated over $1 billion in NBA Top Shot transactions across hundreds of thousands of collectors globally. NBA Top Shot moments are officially licensed video highlights representing significant cultural and financial value to the collector community.
This application seeks Filecoin archival storage for approximately 85,000+ rendered media assets (~500GB) comprising video highlight clips and hero images associated with NBA Top Shot Moments. More rendered media assets will be uploaded to FileCoin as they are minted on the Flow blockchain. These assets are currently pinned on IPFS via Pinata and are publicly accessible via their content identifiers (CIDs). We are seeking Filecoin sealed storage to provide a cryptographically verifiable archival layer independent of any single centralized provider.
