Description
Chromium crashes when dragging and pulling tabs out (detaching it from the window). Simply shuffling a tab from side to side among other tabs does not cause a crash.
Dragging other elements (link, text, image) also causes a crash but not always. I don't know what triggers it.
I don't know if it happens in X11 in this system as well — I only use Wayland — but it wasn't happening on other systems I used under X11 before.
I don't know if directly related, but I noticed, when dragging tabs, I get a few of the following message in the terminal:
[2:2:0227/151551.325064:ERROR:wayland_window_drag_controller.cc(152)] zcr_extended_drag_v1 extension not available! Window/Tab dragging won't be fully functional
The issue doesn't happen in Brave or Firefox.
