What is icontext?

icontext is a folder + a set of skills that gives every AI tool you use (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenCode) persistent memory about you. Your AI agents now share a brain.

Quick start

icontext init

Then in Claude Code: "Populate my icontext profile."

Common questions

• How is this different from mem0/Letta/Zep? Those are libraries for developers. icontext is for end users.
• How is this different from Obsidian? Obsidian is for humans. icontext is for AI agents. Same folder works for both.
• Does this require a Gemini API key? No. The default flow uses your existing AI agent's tools. icontext sync is an optional headless fallback.
• Is my data sent anywhere? No. Synthesis happens inside your local AI session. Profile lives encrypted on your machine.
