Bank transfers don't go out on weekends and bank holidays. So a transaction is scheduled every month on the 7th for example, if that date happens to be a Sunday, the transaction won't actually happen until the 8th. Ideally we would use a holiday calendar based on the user's region to account for their bank holidays but weekends only would be a massive improvement!
