Please submit only one feature request in one issue!
We should add a preference manager, that allows for seamless switching of settings and preferences.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
This should solve #1414 and #1397

Describe the solution you'd like
A Menu of some sort, to store and load preferences. Maybe have shortcuts to load a specific set of preferences.
