Measuring should work with cursor as main tool

Currently, I f I try to do a measure I have to select what I want to measure and click after that. The current Dropdown list is to long.
and sometimes you need several information.

I would prefer it If I could click two things and after that:

• Chose what measure I wish
• Have a filtered drop-down to usable measures
• Be able to change the drop-down entity without select the same again. (e.g. two cylinder selected and switch from "center to center distance" to "min distance")
• Not important but would be nice:
  • Show all possibility in one e.g. Solidworks 1, 2
  • Allow limiting selection to surface, edge, vertices. Which could be helpful it you have a lot of small geometry
