geoip-shell status, mode disable meaning #49
-
Hi, When entering "geoip-shell status" you get to see "mode disable" at the very end. Does it concern outgoing traffic? It made it look like geoip shell was not enabled when it is. |

Hi, in this context, 'mode: disable' refers to outbound geoblocking (as is stated in the line just above). geoip-shell allows you to separately control inbound geoblocking and outbound geoblocking. 'Inbound' means incoming connections, 'outbound' means outgoing connections. By default, outbound geoblocking is disabled. For more information, please refer to Outbound geoblocking. |

It may be an issue with my root terminal environment as when I export it to a txt and open it "outbound" is visible Geoblocking firewall chain: ESC[0;32menabled ESC[0;32m✔ESC[0m ESC[0;35moutbound geoblocking:ESC[0m ESC[0;32mNo problems detected.ESC[0m` |

My bad, issue is on my side : I use an eink screen and I've just checked on my laptop and the "outbound geoblocking" appears properly. There must be an issue with my console color profile as even in video mode I still don't see the line or can select it. Sorry again and thank you for your time ! |
