I've read a few earlier issues on Linux startup time (eg. #246). However, I'm finding ghostty slower to start than all other terminals on my relatively old Lenovo T460 laptop. Running Arch / Cinnamon with current updates, Ghostty takes well over 1s to start from the start menu and about the same from another terminal.
By contrast Wezterm takes less than half a second and alacritty a little quicker still.
Is the added startup time related to GTK4 bootstrap? Wondering if this can be improved as it adds friction when launching terminal apps in ghostty via the gui or
.desktop
