Support for changing font during runtime (OSC 50 support)?

Does Ghostty support changing the font during runtime? I know there's OSC 50 code that some terminals support to set a font: is this supported by Ghostty?

OSC 50 is not currently supported; this discussion could act as a feature request though (change the category with the cog wheel in the top right).

I'm not opposed, but as background I'd be curious:

• What terminals support this?
• A detailed description of how it works, exactly (how does the grid size take this into account)

This is the background work I'd have to do myself to accept this feature. If someone else does this work for me, it can accelerate this possibly being accepted or rejected. Otherwise, this will sit in limbo for now, that's the next step.

The only one I've seen is Contour, though Windows Terminal may support it too (never checked though).

Also, though I don't know the answers, I want to note that Contour has an option (enabled by default) to show a confirmation dialogue which prompts the user about the font change.

According to research done for a similar issue raised against Wezterm, the following terminals support OSC 50 to various degrees:

• XTerm
• ESPTerm
• Contour Terminal
• MinTTY
• URXVT

The most detailed documentation I've been able to find is at https://terminalguide.namepad.de/seq/osc-50_xterm/, although this doesn't mention implementation details.
