after posting, I saw: #90 However, I'm not sure if it's safe to install ZMOD in the first place because the docs provide conflicting information. Because I can't install it, I can't provide the config tzg file that an issue demands, so my issue report will get auto-closed. I feel that I've run into a bit of a brick wall, so I hope that someone will respond without just closing this discussion. |

mea culpa I did read step 1 "Reset printer to default settings", but didn't actually do that as a stand alone step. Every other firmware flash I've ever done reset all settings to factory default so I presumed this would do the same. I made sure to make note of all the settings changes I'd made so I could remake them later as needed because I assumed this would happen. |

Thanks for creating this! I'm looking forward to getting further in depth with my AD5X...
I have read through the installation docs for my AD5X. It says that native firmware v1.2.3 is supported (https://wiki.zmod.link/#compatibility), but the setup instructions (say to downgrade to v1.1.7 https://wiki.zmod.link/Setup/).
My printer was on native firmware 1.2.3, so I downgraded to firmware 1.1.7. The printer immediately checked for firmware updates and it brought me back to v1.2.3.
Do I need to disable WiFi on the printer so that it doesn't automatically update to v1.2.3 before installing ZMOD?
If so, is it OK to let it upgrade the factory firmware to v1.2.3 after ZMOD is installed? If not, how do I prevent the upgrade?
Is it safe to continue the ZMOD installation now that the printer is on v1.2.3? If so, it seems that updating the docs to say something like, "Install v1.1.7 or later" to eliminate confusion might be helpful.
