Zooming and panning is so slow

Hi Kyle,

I'm noticing a long delay when I zoom or move the image in the app.

In the video, you can see I zoomed in and out and moved the image left and right very quickly. After I stopped, it took a few seconds for the app to show my actions. This is very strange behavior.

I'm curious if this it is consistently slow? Looks like you are running Linux. I'm unable to reproduce this behavior on Linux or Windows, but I do see display performance issues with moving or resizing the window.

@gkyle Yes, it is always like that.

I noticed that issue on Ubuntu 24.04, upgrading to 25.10 did not help.
