Edge of screen padding support

I'd love to give this project a serious try as a yabai alternative, but I make use of padding on my desktop setups which doesn't yet seem to be supported:

yabai -m config top_padding                  12
yabai -m config bottom_padding               12
yabai -m config left_padding                 12
yabai -m config right_padding                376
yabai -m config window_gap                   12

As two use cases, on my portable setup, I leave space for widgets:

Are there plans for support for this?

Agree. I have a vertical monitor and would certainly prefer to not use the top/bottom inch or so of my monitor. Being able to specify Pixels or percentages for padding/margin would be sweet

Pixels or percentages should be easy enough to implement.

Do either of you want it to be screen- or resolution-dependent? Or is just a static amount of padding enough?

I've used the same padding (and screen resolution) values for years. I would need it to only be applied to my primary display.

Good point. I would not want to apply the same padding to my main monitor as to my vertical monitor. Being able to specify a specific screen it applies to would be the most sensible probably. Looks like with yabai you can specify the display number.
