The theSVG plugin for Figma is approved and live on the Figma Community.

What you get

Search across 6,030+ brand SVGs from inside Figma. Click one and it lands on your canvas as a real vector node, ready to recolor, resize, mask, or convert into a component. No more keeping a browser tab open just to drag SVGs across.

A few things v1.2 ships with:

• Variant picker for icons with multiple versions (color, mono, dark, light, wordmark). Hover an icon and click the small badge in the corner.
• Recents row that remembers the last 12 icons you inserted. Survives plugin closes and Figma restarts because it lives in figma.clientStorage.
• Keyboard shortcuts. Enter inserts the first search result, Cmd/Ctrl+F focuses search, Esc closes the variant menu and then the plugin.
• Dark mode aware. Matches whatever Figma theme you're in.
• jsDelivr-only network. Catalog and icon files are served from the GitHub-backed CDN, so the plugin keeps working at full speed even when thesvg.org has a traffic spike.

Why this exists

Designers kept telling us they were saving SVGs to disk and dragging them in. Useful for one icon. Painful when you're building a logo wall, a brand integrations grid, or an architecture diagram with thirty service marks.

The plugin removes that step.

A few other things we shipped alongside this

• A drop-in agent skill at skills/thesvg/SKILL.md. If you're using Claude Code, Cursor, or anything that picks up SKILL.md files from a repo, the skill teaches your agent the CDN URL pattern and registry endpoint so it stops trying to scrape logos off the web. Compatible with skills.sh discovery.
• Figma now appears in the top bar of thesvg.org and the extensions page.
