Output deleted when there is not enough space in chest

The output of a recipe is delete when it overfills a chest. Whether this will occur should probably be checked upon completion of a recipe, and if there isn't space the recipe should be cancelled.

And/or drop any excess items in to the world - that would be easier.

Code that solves this issue exists in itemexchange and could be migrated over. Basically, you create a deep copy of an inventory which also clones the item stack objects, then you try putting the items in the original inventory allowing bukkit to deal with stacking and all that, and if it fails then revert the inventory to its original state with the deepcopy of it.

Or they could just drop on the ground....

I'd suggest dropping to the ground, though risky if running in an unloaded chunk.
