I notice on GitHub that 1.x will be EOL this year: https://github.com/apache/tika

I think this library should move to supporting 2.x, perhaps jumping right to 2.3.0. I've done some local testing with tat server and the endpoints used here seem to work the same way

2.x might be a good time to evaluate the Go API overall and decide if there are breaking changes we'd want to make.

If there are I'm happy to make contributions to this, just ping me and I'll chip in where I can.

It may be worth supporting JSON responses, though those don't need to be a breaking change as they can be an alternative function within the api.
