As requested by @amotl, here's a feature request for the "worldmap-panel" plugin for Grafana (ref. #253) to include a date-slider.

Dear @phoenix2lux,

thanks for your request. Usually, the Grafana datetime picker is used for controlling the time range used to select data on the time axis. However, I believe @wetterfrosch and I already discussed that having a slider for that would be cool. Nevertheless, I don't know whether this component should be rendered on the map or within the regular location of the datetime picker.

I am currently having a variable on top of the world map with dates and the map's values are changing as soon as I select another date. Let's say this workaround is not very dynamic.

May I humbly ask you to share a screenshot with us? Having all things in place, we might be able to revisit this issue when time permits.

With kind regards,
Andreas.

Hi @amotl,
Please find hereafter some more detailed information about how I'm displaying data at the moment.

I've created a variable named $querydate which will be filled with the last 14 dates from a table.

These dates will be used to change the query in order to get all the respective values for the map using the selected date.

This is how it looks like to browse through the dates.

It does the trick but it not very handy...
