FOLA: Onboarding Student Volunteers for 2025 Q1

Context
We need to onboard student volunteers from UCLA for validating our food listings for the current quarter i.e. Q1 2025. The last date to send the welcome email to the volunteers is January 24th 2025.

Tasks

• Send welcome emails to the student volunteers with onboarding instructions PDF attached explaining the onboarding process and the validation framework.

• Update the volunteer spreadsheet with the current cohort of students to track the progress made on listings validation.

• Communicate further instructions about validating the critical fields (such as categories, non-food items, services, eligibility) via email or conference call.

• Assign listings to students for the first week.

Steps for Managing Students

• log into the [email protected] email
• check to see if the students responded
  • yes, students have not been getting responses since 26th
• find the student spreadsheet
  • copy an email
  • go to drive.google.com
  • search for the email address that was copied
• check submission status
  • go to https://la.foodoasis.net/admin/login
  • use FOLA (DEV) - Admin User Login vault in 1password and use the credentials to login
  • search by student email and Verification Status
  • update spreadsheet
