Why was herdr relicensed under a permissive license?

I switched to herdr since it was the only mux solution that's copylefted other than GNU Screen. I just noticed that herdr was relicensed two weeks ago which made me question my decision. Why was there no discussions or issues opened before the decision?

Thanks for the reference. Sorry for taking up your time, I should've searched the issues more before opening this discussion. Last, I just want to say that while I fully respect the reasons for the license change, as a user, this is something that I don't want to see. I'm moving on to explore other alternative solutions for right now.
