Modeling outputs might be useful inputs to secondary analyses conducted by other researchers. Possible use cases include:

  • methods developers building new approaches for creating or evaluating ensembles are looking for model data and ensembles as test cases for evaluating their methods.
  • Modelers interested in comparing their proposed approaches to prior data from other modelers on a known forecasting or projection task.

Other use cases are certainly possible.

To make hubverse data more easily usable by third-parties, work on approaches for FAIR-compliant sharing of Hubverse output data. This could be as simple as guidance on preparing appropriate metadata for submission to existing repositories or as complex as building novel front-ends and APIs for finding and retrieving data.
