Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you well. My team and I are currently developing new features within the OptScale repository, and the recent news that MinIO is no longer open-source has raised some concerns. At the moment, we do not fully understand MinIO’s role and impact within the OptScale deployment. We would like to ask the community for clarification on:

Hi @Geraldo155! Yes, we are aware of the MinIO's recent changes and thinking on its future in OptScale. Currently, MinIO is used an internal storage for the following features/services (as shown on https://github.com/hystax/optscale/blob/integration/documentation/images/optscale-architecture-services.drawio.png):
We don't plan immediate actions at the moment, but of course looking for the possible replacement. RustFS (https://github.com/rustfs/rustfs) looks pretty good and most probably we'll proceed with it when time comes. |
