Music plays quiter than in Mugen #2301
Comments
I'm not sure if replicating Mugen's volume is one of our goals. Ikemen's looks a lot more like "35%" than Mugen's there. |
I use both Mugen and Ikemen Go and it's not very convenient that the sound levels don't match. Especially when it comes to recording and editing video |
You only need to make them match once though. |
I will, but I'm just informing you of a difference between Ikemen Go and Mugen that I've noticed recently. I thought it was important |
We're aware of differences. Due to differences in audio libraries, their implementations, and the different functionality the library we use provides, and due to the nature of working with audio, it's just not something that's easy to fix unfortunately. Furthhermore, this comment exists in our code base for BGM volume precisely because attempting to address this in past nightlies only led to even more complaints from users:

Ikemen Go:
When analyzed in SounForge, I got that Ikemen Go plays music 7.5-8 db quieter than Mugen, which is quite significant
